interior

The interior of #3283 is as it should be with a car of this mileage. The seating is perfect with no wear marks whatsoever.  In fact the protective cardboard covers that slip over the seat adjusters are still on the seats! I found much of the remnants of the plastic delivery seat covering still on the undersides of both seats and I've saved the plastic for posterity.

In the rear, there was an imprinted tar patch over a opening in the corner panel for sound deadening. Over time, the patch had cracked and deteriorated; you will never see it, but I replicated the patch exactly and it is in place as it should be.

All of the interior moulded panels have been re-dyed in white as time and sun had yellowed them slightly. They now appear as new.  The carpeting had faded over time, and I re-dyed the carpeting to the correct blue as OE. The rear deck carpeting had deteriorated to the point of unsalvageable, and has been replaced and dyed to match the rest of the carpets.

The spare tire well is untouched as is the cover. The cloth tape that held down insulation has been replaced with correct black cloth tape. The dash bezel is perfect. The radio and speakers have been replaced by a Vintage Audio deck and speakers, which I have left in the car. The original AM/8-track unit and speakers wil convey with the car.
